I have arrived

I've written about many things since 2018, when I began an account on Medium. At the time, Medium was compensating their writers for their work. I ran myself through the gauntlet of submitting my work to peer-reviewed publications. I built a following. I was always somewhere in the middle: not the highest of earners nor the lowest.

By 2022, Medium had changed its algorithms, and many had left. I took a break and returned a year later. This time, I was writing for myself.

In 2025, I started looking for other options. To be honest, the bots were winning. Cheap tricks like using AI to generate content drove honest writers off the platform. Like most social media platforms, Medium became empty, devoid of purpose. Writers could no longer dream of making back the 'Member' fees, let alone being asked to become a 'Friend of Medium' every time they open the app.

So it went. So I go.

I like writing. Every day, I get better at my craft. I like researching and writing about a lot of different topics. I've accrued enough to populate an entire website.

I stunned myself.

So here I am.
